If you think about it, the movie in theaters now called "Tropic Thunder" is actually a movie about the making of a movie called "Tropic Thunder."
Now comes along this "documentary" on the making of "Tropic Thunder," which is the film within the film "Tropic Thunder." Confusing? Maybe. Funny? Yes! (Caution: there's some swearing).
Update (8/27): The full 30-minute "Rain of Madness" is now available free on iTunes. Get it here.
No, it's not some song from a horror flick, but a great My Morning Jacket song with a great video (and a "Where The Wild Things Are" kind of vibe to it). It's off MMJ's latest album "Evil Urges."
Recently released in the App Store is "Simplify Media," a program that lets you listen to your music streaming over WiFi/Edge/3G. It's free to download the Mac/PC client for your desktop, and free for a limited time on the iPhone.
A couple of nitpicks: like all of the 3rd party apps, once you exit by pressing the iPhone's Home button, the app quits. This sucks because you can't listen to your music while doing other things with the iPhone. The iPhone's native iPod section keeps the music playing when you quit it, so this isn't really the program's fault, just the limitation of 3rd party apps.
And this program is another reason to quickly drain that precious 3G iPhone battery juice faster even faster than before.
Here's an iPhone screenshot that I dressed up with Comic Touch when my iPhone was acting a bit wonky:
