One of my favorite film scores is "Koyaanisqatsi" by composer Philip Glass. It came to the top of my mind recently when I watched "Watchmen" on DVD. "Watchmen" director Zack Snyder used portions of Glass' score during the Dr. Manhattan flashback origin story. It was effectively used and goes to show how powerful music can enhance and compliment a movie scene.

Here's the "Koyaanisqatsi" main theme set to various stills from the movie of the same name. Oh, and it goes without saying, try and catch "Koyaanisqatsi" itself when you can. Great movie.

Sendak & Jonze Talk "Wild"

Can't wait to catch this one when it comes out later this year. I haven't read it in more than 25 years, and only recently became reacquainted with it since my wife and I started reading the story to our son a few months ago.
